We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our Cloud Native Experiences Team as we continue to push the boundaries of cloud-native technologies. As a Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining the Ux experience of Azure Kubernetes Services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle, with a special focus on Large Language Models (LLMs), Microsoft 365 Copilot, and Azure Kubernetes Services.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, robust, and efficient software components for Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS).
  • Contribute to the architecture, development, and maintenance of AKS features and services.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable code and perform thorough code reviews to ensure code quality.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including planning, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud computing and Kubernetes ecosystem.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with  experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.

 

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: 
    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
    • OR related technical field AND 1+ year(s) technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, OR Python
    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency building engaging user experiences
  • Experience with frameworks like React.js, TypeScript.
  • Experience with technologies like JSON, AJAX, Kubernetes and Git.
  • A goal to work on a state of the art product and take on interesting problems every single day
  • Dedication and passion for scenario/unit testing; we use Selenium, and Mocha/Chai at cloud-scale.

Software Engineering IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $76,400 - $151,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $100,300 - $165,400 per year.
