Microsoft’s Azure Data engineering team is leading the transformation of analytics in the world of data with products like databases, data integration, big data analytics, messaging & real-time analytics, and business intelligence. The products our portfolio include Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL DB, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure PostgreSQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, and Power BI. ​​Within Azure Data, the messaging and real-time analytics team provides comprehensive solutions and a robust platform that enables users to ingest high granularity signals (real-time & observability) and complex data, converting those into a competitive advantage in real-time for both end users and modern applications.  ​ 

​​To help us with our evolution, we are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our Fabric Real-time Analytics team. As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of our product strategy for Fabric Real-time Analytics and Azure Stream Analytics. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, develop product roadmaps, and drive product development from ideation to launch. In addition you will need to create demos, author blogs and present at conferences. Customer engagement will also be part of your job where you can provide technical advice on customers real-time applications.

Responsibilities

  • ​Define and execute AI integration strategies in Fabric Real-time Analytics product.  
  • Develop and execute product strategy for Azure Stream Analytics
  • Define product requirements and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development
  • Engage with customers to deeply understand their Azure Stream Analytics applications.  
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs and market trends
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and other teams to ensure successful product development
  • Monitor and analyze product performance and make data-driven decisions to improve product success
  • Create go-to-market content from blogs to videos as needed

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications 

  • ​​Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience with Azure  
  • 2+ years experience with SQL language or SQL application development

Other Requirements 


Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: 

  • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications 

  • Demonstrates experience with Apache Kafka or other similar streaming technologies 

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
