As a Senior Development Engineer for The Speech Team, you will contribute to building innovative speech recognition solutions that power Copilot, Teams, Office, Windows, and various third-party customer applications. Our competitive solutions are world-class and continuously evolving.

Responsibilities
Design and implement high performance components and algorithms that make up the speech real-time recognition engines.
- Drive consensus across multiple teams on appropriate solutions.
- Implement telemetry and logging to monitor the health of the features continually and automatically.
- Support team in investigating customer issues and producing mitigations.
- Quickly learn about the speech recognition area to improve efficiency of the work and enable better prioritization.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
o OR equivalent experience.
Preferred/Additional Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
o OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
o OR equivalent experience.
o AI, Machine Learning or speech background.
o Experience implementing high performance algorithms, with offloading to hardware accelerators and GPU
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
