Within Azure Data, the messaging and real-time analytics team provides comprehensive solutions and a robust platform that enables users to ingest high granularity signals (real-time & observability) and complex data, converting those into an advantage in real-time for both end users and modern applications.
The Azure Event Grid is a rapidly growing product and enables reliable message delivery at massive scale. Our product is a fully managed pub-sub message broker that is used by customers for real-time notification and alerting, optimizing operations through automation, and developing rich integrated solutions. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join us and lead new features roadmap and development to enable real-time event-driven solutions. Responsibilities
- Build product strategy and priorities for Azure Event Grid.
- Work closely with external and internal customers to understand their requirements and translate them into high quality specs.
- Inspire and drive engineering and operational excellence across the organization.
- Work in a cross functional and collaborative role spanning several teams such as product, UX design, engineering, marketing, sales, and support.
- Partner with the marketing and business teams to identify target customers, value propositions, customer promises, and go-to-market strategies.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

Other Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements is required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
- This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred/Additional Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
- OR equivalent experience.
- Background in building features for developer-oriented cloud service.
- Experience in defining product roadmap, strategy and go-to market plans for an enterprise grade product.
- Technical aptitude with an understanding of developer-facing tools and services.
- Ability to define customer-focused scenarios, author functional specifications and work with partner teams to ensure that scenarios are delivered end-to-end.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and across disciplines as a contributor.
- Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication.
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science or similar IT/engineering discipline, MBA.
- Experience creating quality customer-facing product documentation, tutorials, and usage examples.
