We're a small, agile team, light on pigeonholes, big on autonomy. We have helped Windows, Office, Teams, and many other products integrate with Azure Cognitive Services. Those features have been spotlights in multiple Microsoft events. Now we are working on more promising projects, and we are looking for passionate talents to join us.
The Software Engineer II is focused on integration of AI and Microsoft products. It involves full stack opportunities from model adaptation, runtime implementation, tooling, tuning, to cloud service implementation. It also provides opportunities to work with major product teams including Windows and Office.

Responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software.
- Collaborate with peer teams in different regions to ensure seamless integration of new features and improvements.
- Bring innovative ideas to the table to deliver the best product to our customers.
- Continuously learn and stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies
Qualifications
Required / Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possess a technical background and foundation in professional software engineering principles and architecture design
- Experience in algorithm implementation.
- Experience with building cloud service.
- Exposure to Machine Learning knowledge and ideally work experience, especially in building artificial intelligence powered products.
- Possess problem-solving skills including solving real world problems.
- Experience with various stakeholders and cross-team collaboration skills and the desire to collaborate in a team of researchers and developers across geographically distributed groups.
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
