Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. CSCP is responsible for strategic sourcing, customer demand forecasting, capacity planning and management, supply chain planning and execution, capacity provisioning, and decommissioning and dispositioning of datacenter assets worldwide.
The Cloud Manufacturing Operations and Fulfillment (CMOF) team is looking for a passionate Technical Program Manager II to help it keep up with its customer demand by being part of its Sovereign Strategy & Operations (SS&O) team, which is responsible for ensuring that sellable capacity is available for Microsoft Sovereign customers for their workloads. This includes ensuring that the required infrastructure is deployed on time to meet customer demand while continuously improving our processes.
The candidate for this Technical Program Manager II role has a background in networking, servers, application development, and/or security as well as demonstrated expertise in communication. You will work with many leaders across the company to improve our processes and help us scale the Sovereign Cloud offerings across all engineering groups. This role will require a dynamic personality who can work successfully in a diverse environment that is filled with ambiguity.

• Lead virtual teams to deliver infrastructure predictably based on our customer needs.
• Create methods and processes to collect critical data about deployments, progress, and dependencies.
• Partner with the Engineering teams to identify automation opportunities that will increase the capability to deliver against critical milestones for deployments.
• Partner upstream with the Capacity Planning and our internal Capacity Management teams.
• Partner with Planning teams to understand the demand and challenges of deployments to anticipate and solve.
• Develop an understanding of hardware types being deployed and work with the supply chain organization to resolve issues.
• Partner with process and reporting teams to develop actionable dashboards that will help drive daily and weekly triage of blockers.
• Own metrics and analytics that show the performance against goals.
• Be proactive in identifying continuous improvement areas.
• Identify program and process improvements to help deliver better predictability across all cloud offerings.
• Provide Engineering teams with business capabilities/use cases/scenarios to articulate clear business requirements, aligned to our vision.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships and trusted partnerships across the Azure landscape.

Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.
