• Design core, backend software components.
• Code using primarily C/C++, Java, PHP and Hack.
• Interface with other teams to incorporate their innovations and vice versa.
• Conduct design and code reviews.
• Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources.

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field. Requires completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis in the following:
• 1. Programming experience in C, C++, Java, or C#
• 2. Building large-scale infrastructure applications
• 3. Relational databases and SQL
• 4. Software development tools: Code editors (VIM or Emacs)
• 5. Revision control systems (Subversion, GIT, or Perforce)
• 6. Linux, UNIX, or other *nix-like OS as evidenced by file manipulation, advanced commands, and shell scripting
• 7. TCP/IP network fundamentals
• 8. Configuring and maintaining infra applications using at least one of the following: web servers, load balancers, relational databases, storage systems, or messaging systems
• 9. Utilizing high performance query engines (Presto or Spark) for big data.
