The team is responsible for developing and implementing the product quality strategy and plans across multiple products and platforms. Our team of QA Leads build and execute the product quality strategy and plans across multiple products and platforms. They are responsible for debugging issues across the hardware and software stack including consumer electronics devices, mobile apps, and web. They possess intimate knowledge of current issues, build heat maps and bug burn-downs, along with track and report detailed metrics to key stakeholders which would lead to go/no-go decisions per milestone.
The ideal candidate is a quality assurance leadership expert with strong communication skills and previous experience as a detail-oriented QA engineer. The candidate should also have a passion for building great hardware and software products and consumer electronics device experience, this includes a deep understanding of varying testing techniques and the ability to come up with new methods through out-of-the-box thinking. - Build a test-driven engineering and development culture that drives improvements in quality
- Recruit and lead technical talent, be both highly technical and an effective people manager
- Identify key quality metrics and report on them regularly to keep stakeholders informed on the current quality of the product
- Collaborate with various functions, drive engineering initiatives and have an impact at an organizational level
- Implement process changes to scale testing efforts across multiple product lines
- Work along-side hardware and software engineers, program managers and QA to triage issues and help the engineering teams make informed go/no-go decisions
- Partner with Automation and Infrastructure teams to leverage automation for scalability and reliability
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience building and managing technical teams, including performance management.
- 7+ years experience leading QA activities.
- Experience leading QA activities for consumer electronics devices.
- Experience in managing black box and white box testing.
- Experience working on virtual reality platforms.
- Experience reporting progress and results to stakeholders.
- Experience debugging OS and applications on consumer electronics devices.
- Experience building, shipping, and maintaining commercial software.
- Experience coding in Python, PHP, Java, C/C++ or equivalent language.
Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
