As a pivotal member of the Factory Operations team at RL, you will spearhead the seamless execution of day-to-day operations across our global manufacturing partners. Your role encompasses a multifaceted approach, focusing on enhancing the operational capabilities of our contract manufacturers (CMs) and aligning strategies with our product roadmap.Factory Operations Manager Responsibilities
Collaboration lies at the heart of your responsibilities, as you work closely with cross-functional teams to assess on-site risks, devise effective solutions, and ensure factory readiness.
Your leadership will be instrumental in achieving overall ramp goals, with a keen eye on both short and long-term capacity planning and execution, spanning from product inception to end of life (EOL) phases. As a key liaison between our internal teams and contract manufacturers, you will facilitate early and ongoing manufacturing involvement to guarantee seamless transitions from concept to mass production.
Your expertise will be pivotal in driving operational excellence, fostering information intelligence, and promoting sustainability initiatives at our CM factories.
In summary, your role as a Factory Operations manager will be pivotal in ensuring the success of our manufacturing endeavors, fostering collaborative partnerships, and driving operational efficiency across the Tier 1 supply chain ecosystem.
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years experience in Operations/General Management in manufacturing.
Experience with Final Assembly, Test, Pack and SMT process in a high volume mass production.
Experience in manufacturing operations with vision of operational excellence.
Experience working in an ambiguous environment.
Experience collaborating and optimizing business objectives.
Experience with analytical approaches and is process driven to problem solving. (Six Sigma, FMEA etc)
Preferred Qualifications
Leadership experience
Experience in high volume, fast-paced mass production manufacturing. Experience qualifying transfer manufacturing in different regions.
Experience with complicated production and operating systems. Experience navigating complex issues and navigate solutions.
Experience leveraging expertise with creative problem solving skills. Understanding of a future factory in operational excellence and information intelligence development.
Strong communication skills.
