The Security Guard is responsible for patrolling and monitoring the swimming pool premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules. They work under the direction and guidance of the Prospect Pool Supervisor.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
-Locks doors and gates of pool entrances and exits to secure premises.
-Answers alarms and investigates disturbances.
-Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of the premises.
-Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
-Patrols premise to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of property.
-Assists in enforcing the established swimming pool rules.
-Contacts the local Police Department in situations in which it is warranted.
Requirements
-High School diploma or equivalency
-Minimum of one (1) year of previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience
-PA State Police, Child Abuse, Reportable Offense Obligation and FBI Clearances
-Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote public safety and security operations for the protection of people and property
-Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
