The Assistant Pool Supervisor works under the direction of the Pool Supervisor to provide oversight and guidance for the health, safety, and well-being of those who visit and swim at Prospect Pool. They act in a leadership support capacity, including acting as the Pool Supervisor in his/her absence.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
-Concession stand employee who coordinates with the Pool Supervisor to ensure the concession stand and security positions are staffed and operating efficiently
-Assists with the oversight of concessions and concession staff.
-Alerts the Pool Supervisor of any unsafe, unsanitary, or unsatisfactory conditions.
-Works to ensure daily operations of the concession stand are in place and prepared for business.
-Along with the Pool Supervisor, ensures the concession stand, patio and sun deck areas are clean and properly maintained.
-Ensures City employees are following appropriate dress code requirements and safety standards.
-Understands appropriate emergency procedures and can execute, lead and advise staff on how, and when, to act; as needed.
-Works in concessions to assist with duties and/or coverage of shifts.
-Accepts work assignments and follows work schedule as assigned.
-Ensures staff posts are not left unattended and monitors staff replacements.
-Reports to work in a timely manner and is flexible when staffing needs arise.
-Assists in coordinating and attending all scheduled staff meetings and required training sessions.
-Supports the Pool Supervisor with the completion of any required administrative-related paperwork or documentation.
Requirements
-High School diploma or equivalency
-PA State Police, Child Abuse, Reportable Offense Obligation and FBI Clearances
-Minimum of one (1) year of previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience in a leadership-related role
