Job description: We have an opportunity for a talented IT Support Technician to join the Andretti Cadillac Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role you will are looking for to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide technical support and general assistance to end-users and employees and act as the initial point of contact for IT-related issues, incidents, and service requests. Principal Accountabilities:
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues for end-users. Identify root causes and apply appropriate solutions to ensure problems are fully resolved.
Create, update, and prioritize IT support tickets using the ticketing system. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all interactions and solutions provided.
Assist users in understanding and effectively using hardware, software applications, and IT tools. Provide basic training and guidance as needed.
Perform installations, configuration, and upgrades of computer hardware, peripherals, and software applications.
Account Management: Reset passwords, unlock accounts, and manage user access to various systems and applications.
Maintain up-to-date documentation of IT assets, configurations and software licenses.
Collaborate with other IT team members for complex issues or problems that require higher-level support.
Prepare equipment and accounts for new starters, and process leavers in line with company procedures.
Perform routine maintenance tasks on IT equipment to ensure functionality and reliability.
Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support for critical times of the year or for serious incidents.
Follow and adhere to the department Policies and Procedures.
Ensure that the Health and Safety Policies, Standard Operating Procedures and guidelines are managed correctly and adhered to at all times.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar role dealing with a Windows 10/11 and Office 365 user environment in a busy IT department.
Experience with a motorsport, aerospace or engineering company is preferred.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are an advantage.
Extensive knowledge of configuring user computers to an agreed standard.
Extensive knowledge of the Windows and Office 365 applications
Experience of supporting IT users in an engineering environment (CAD etc) is an advantage.
Basic understanding of Active Directory and user account management.
Basic understanding of network and server technologies
Basic understanding of ITSM or ITIL based service management.
Good analytical skills and proven experience of problem solving
Demonstrate a “can-do” flexible attitude to resolving tasks assigned.
Exceptional customer service and communication ability.
Clear and concise communication, verbally and with the use of email
Ability to prioritise in a time pressured environment and manage personal deadlines
Demonstrate a passion for excellence and a desire to help people.
