The global racing enterprise boasts over 250 race wins, four INDYCAR Series championships, five INDY NXT titles, one Indy Pro 2000 and one USF2000 championship, and has captured victory five times at the famed Indianapolis 500-Mile Race. The team is now looking to expand into the pinnacle of motorsport through our Andretti Cadillac Team.
Job description:
We have an opportunity for an Electronic Installations Designer to join the Andretti Cadillac Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role you will be responsible for the design of on and off-car electrical and electronic system installations. Principal Accountabilities:
- Design of electrical installations including harness routing and packaging of electronic components.
- Contribute to the design of electrical harnesses and associated components.
- Generation of technical documentation to support harness manufacture, car assembly, car operation and updates.
- Support development of off-car systems, internal test facilities and rigs.
- Resolution of electronic system faults.
Requirements
- Educated to degree level in an engineering subject or similar
- Extensive experience in electrical installation design, ideally using CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE.
- Proficiency with electrical schematic design packages, for example Zuken E3 or VeSys Electrical.
- Good understanding of electrical components, systems and their integration.
- Ability to plan and manage own workloads.
- Clear and concise communication, verbally and with the use of email.
- Is self-motivated, innovative and capable of working generally unsupervised to challenging deadlines.
- Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Positively contribute to an open and inclusive culture.
