Our client in the professional service industry is looking for a Finance Manager: AR & AP to add to their team in Stamford, CT. This is an on-site position with the flexibility to work from home one day per week. In this hands-on role, you will streamline department processes and oversee 4 team members responsible for day-to-day accounts receivable & accounts payable functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, process improvement, team leadership and will have in-depth experience with Accounts Receivable. To be successful, you must be a strong communicator and self-starter who can work independently in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Finance Manager: AR & AP (NetSuite Exp. Req.) Responsibilities
• Oversee the accounts receivable, credit, and collections process for all customer accounts
• Oversee accounts payable and vendor payment process
• Provide team member coaching, guidance, and career development
• Identify delinquent accounts and update leadership on collection efforts
• Serve as an escalation point and work with project managers and clients on collections issues
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
• Regular reconciliation of accounts payable general ledger accounts
• Support month-end close and reporting initiatives
• Complete ad hoc analysis as necessary
• Identify opportunities for automation
• Perform account maintenance as necessary
Finance Manager: AR & AP (NetSuite Exp. Req.) Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree is required
• 5+ years of accounting experience that includes AR & AP is required
• Managerial and team development experience is required
• Experience using NetSuite is required
• Advanced Excel skills, including formatting, formulas (ex: VLOOKUP) & pivot tables are required
• Ability to work on-site 4 days per week is required
