What is the opportunity?
The Product Manager will lead our cross functional team working on Enterprise and Business to Business (B2B). Take ownership of our enterprise products, content distribution and integration with 3rd party enterprise platforms. Working with Enterprise, Government and Partnership sales teams to provide solutions for our clients, the role will require an understanding of APIs and integration ecosystems.
- Take ownership of our enterprise and B2B products, working with Enterprise, Government and Partnership sales teams to deeply understand customer needs
- Communicating the approach for Enterprise products and keeping people across the organisation informed and aligned with direction and progress
- Motivate and effectively manage a team to efficiently build and integrate Enterprise products
- Managing validated delivery objectives through the agile development life cycle, making sure there is a constant stream of value and regular feedback opportunities
- Identifying and solving the needs of customers through innovative use of technology
- Be seen as the go-to-person in your domain
- You inspire your product team and others to go beyond what they thought possible
What does success look like:
As a Product Manager, your main responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with key stakeholders to develop and execute the proposition and growth plan, delivering on the existing strategy
- Managing and launching multi-faceted initiatives that have dependencies with other programmes
- Working with the Tech Lead and engineering team to maintain and expand our capabilities
- Articulate progress and manage expectations of business stakeholders, communicating and explaining changes, and prioritising requests according to value
- Keeping the FutureLearn customer in mind as you work with other teams throughout the business to provide products and services
- Working with the Tech Lead to write user stories and acceptance criteria, breaking down delivery into small, trackable chunks and delivering value as early as possible
- Making sure internal and external stakeholders are kept up to date with appropriate regular updates and clear communications when changes are scheduled
- Balance technical improvements with business value, making sure there is a keen focus of value-driven prioritisation
What you will bring to the table:
- 3+ years of experience in Product Management and experience running product teams
- A commercial mindset and experience within an Enterprise SaaS / B2B setting, having successfully managed integrations and API ecosystems
- Track record of delivering complex initiatives to tight deadlines
- Proven experience in positively influencing stakeholders and proactively driving forward initiatives
- Experience in lean methodologies and collaboration techniques and being able to articulate how you’ve applied lean principles in a practical sense on products you’ve worked on in the past
- Strong communication skills, be comfortable negotiating with stakeholders and discussing problems and solutions with your team
- You’re a people person - you’re curious both from a customer and stakeholder perspective, by developing solid working relationships you drive better product decisions
