Overview
JST is currently seeking a Project Manager (IT Operations) to join our team. This is a full-time remote position. Provide PM leadership for Database Administration (DBA), Data Management, and Applications Administration for COTS products in the Human Resources Service Portfolio. Project Manager Responsibilities
- Operations include controlling the interface of data from existing system processes and implementing and operating modernized system processes.
- Provide oversight of System Operations to include management of ticketing processes using JIRA tools.
- Provide day to day operational management assistance to DBAs in support of HRSTS projects based on primarily Oracle systems hosted at DISA and at JAVA, .Net operations at A1 Virtual Data Center.
- Individual will work with the team to recommend a better way of doing things in the Applications/Database.
- Ensure systems and processes under purview are well documented, flexible and robust.
- Assist in COOP operations and documentation.
- Track support for receiving, creating, controlling, processing, and transfer of data between current and future DoD systems.
- Assist in security requirements evaluations and be part of Cybersecurity scrum calls and tracking that incudes participation in Oracle Security Architecture covering Database Vault, Encryption.
- Support the team for "on call" events that may occur outside normal duty hours and on weekends to support production operations.
Project Manager Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering, Mathematics, or Business
- CAPM certification or PMP Certification
- Familiarity with Agile methodology
- Data and Interface Management / Administration
- Monitoring and maintenance to include development, testing, repair actions, and implementation
- Operational and Performance monitoring and analysis to include statistics collection and metrics
- Report and Analyze issues via an After-Action Report
- Maintenance of jobs and scripts used for daily operations
- Coordinating issues with other agencies as required
Project Manager Desired Qualifications
- Scrum Master Certification
- Exposure to Oracle/SQL Server Databases, Oracle HR/Payroll applications.
- Familiarity with .Net/JAVA technologies.
- Understanding of Financial Improvement Audit Readiness (FIAR)/Federal Information Systems Controls Audit Manual (FISCAM) system audits.
- Understanding of Batch Job Scheduling and Monitoring.
- Familiarity with Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management)
- Familiarity with ALM Octane.
- Familiarity of server administration of various platforms including bare metal, Linux, Solaris, and Windows.
Required Clearances and Screenings
- MUST be able to successfully pass a drug screen and background check
