Position Description
Title: S&R - Aftermarket Specialist
Department: Shipping and Receiving
Immediate Supervisor: Procurement Supervisor
Location: Schaumburg
Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly
Position Purpose: Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring parts are prepared for assembly, packed for shipping, and all relevant work orders are accurately closed.
Principle Accountabilities
In-depth understanding and use of ERP system transactions as they were designed for different processes, work order types, and their impact on cost tracking.
Maintains a schedule of inbound and outbound production material related to the Aftermarket Department.
Responsible for the creation of proper paperwork associated with international as well as domestic freight including commercial invoices, packing slips, and BOLs.
Responsible for the status of open work orders to ensure on-time delivery of all materials, including timely resolution, communication, and mitigation of future potential problems for Nortech and Aftermarket.
Promptly communicates delays or other issues to management.
Verifies that each shipment is correctly documented and that packing lists and BOLs match.
Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all shipments for the Aftermarket Department
Investigate issues on parts and communicate across departments to resolve any issues internally and externally.
Completes ship logs for internal customers.
Accurately enter and track all data in ERP system for Nortech and Aftermarket.
Generate purchasing documentation and order parts and materials for Nortech.
Ensure manufacturing has all parts and components when needed for Nortech and Aftermarket.
Monitors and reports overall work order closure status and accuracy of transactions used for component movements for Nortech.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Essential Skills and Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
2-4 years of related experience.
2+ years in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
