Day Shift Print Press Operator at Intertape Polymer Group

This is a 2 week schedule:
12 hour shifts from 6am - 6pm
Week 1 - Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat
Week 2 - Sun, Wed, Thurs
Operate one of two printing presses by ensuring that proper materials, inks and measurements are used according to customer specifications; maintains proper measurements and ink colors while machines are operating.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct press changeovers by cleaning ink pot trays, plates, rollers and cylinders.
- Mount plates in proper locations and start the printing process.
- Monitor quality when machine is running by checking ink viscosities, print clarity, treatment level and adhesion of presses.
- Ensure that rolls on lumber wrap press are doffed at required lengths, bundled and strapped, and properly identified and tagged with all pertinent information.
- Maintain proper production records of presses.
- Fill out production tags and labels.
- Help load and unload rolls on presses.
- Remove shafts and put them into new rolls to load on the machine.
