Computershare have a fantastic opportunity to join our UK Governance Services team as a Manager.
Today’s Company Secretaries are under mounting pressure to deal with increasing corporate compliance, governance and reporting requirements, and as a result they are looking for partners who can provide a full suite of governance and company secretarial services.
Our fast-growing team of company secretarial and corporate governance specialists both in the UK and globally can now provide Computershare clients with a broad range of governance advisory and managed services to expand on and complement our existing Computershare Governance Services (CGS) technology solutions.
A role you will love
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at a time of growth and transformation. The individual will be responsible for leading the delivery of Governance Advisory and Managed Service client engagements, primarily focusing on listed clients and supporting those preparing for an IPO.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead or support the delivery of governance advisory and managed service client engagements.
- Advise domestic and international clients on UK listing requirements, compliance, governance, and transaction related matters.
- Lead or support business development and client relationship management activities.
- Establish and maintain client relationships.
- Develop subject matter market insights, technical knowledge and service delivery templates, processes, tools, and materials.
- Manage, mentor, and develop junior team members.
- Support business management and operational matters, including recruitment, resourcing, finance and risk management.
- Administer the on-boarding of new clients in accordance with company policies and processes.
- Collaborate with Finance team to prepare client invoices and supporting narratives.
- Keep abreast of both internal and external influences to help shape continuous growth and development of the Governance Services business and offering.

What will you bring to the role?
- Significant experience as a company secretarial, corporate administration and governance professional gained within professional services and/or industry, ideally within or for listed companies.
- Drive and enthusiasm to help develop, manage and grow the domestic Governance Services business.
- Expert networking and communication skills, and the ability to influence and build effective relationships at all levels with clients and colleagues.
- Awareness of legal, regulatory and governance trends and developments.
- Attention to detail and track record of producing high quality work.
- Preferably, experience of managing and developing people.
- Resilient and composed under pressure, proactive, self-motivated, take ownership/responsibility for own work and work of others.
- Effective business, financial and risk management skills and the ability to think/act strategically and commercially whilst protecting the reputation of the company.
- IT skills with experience in the development and/or maintenance of technology systems to support service delivery.
- Qualified member of ICSA: Governance Institute.
