The Superintendent, Engineering leads the design and planning of Goldrush infrastructure capital projects. The role is accountable for growth project studies, designs, schedules, costing, and implementation management activities and is responsible for engineering standards, compliance, and document control. The engineering team owns the technical specifications of the equipment, infrastructure and related systems, and this role ensures the provision of quality in-house technical expertise to Maintenance and Operations.

Responsibilities:
Drive safety mindset through Visible Felt Leadership and engagement of operations and contractor teams, ensuring effective participation by the engineering team in site programs including management of change (MOC), formal risk assessments (FRA), Field Interactions, and Fatal Risk Audits.
Manage and undertake project planning and engineering and ensure quality and efficiency at all project stages -- planning, justification, design, approval, construction, commissioning and turnover – ensuring the application of both company practices and industry codes and standards.
Oversee the work of a multi-disciplinary cross-functional team to support civil, mechanical, instrumentation, automation, and electrical projects, and ensure quality engineering outputs and document management.
Conduct and support effective project management and scheduling across the team’s portfolio of projects and manage the interface with operations, maintenance, contractor teams on larger projects to ensure seamless development and execution.
Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies and applications; recommend improvement opportunities based on the evaluation and gain buy-in or consensus from stakeholders
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Applied Science or Engineering, or similar equivalent, is required
Professional Engineering licensure, or ability to successfully obtain an engineering license with the Nevada Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors (NVBPELS), is required
A minimum of 8 years of experience in a relevant engineering capacity are necessary, including supervising an engineering function and project management preferred
At least 2 years of the 8 years at an operating mine site is preferred
Knowledge of material handling systems and mine infrastructure is preferred
Proven leadership skills and supervisory experience are required
Project Management knowledge and experience is required
Experience with managing contractors and contract management is preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills are required
The ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative team environment is required
Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job is required
