Job Descrption

The Admitting Representative is responsible for the collection of demographic information to ensure accuracy for billing purposes by verifying patient information and benefit eligibility for insurance and third party payers.  Receives payments and issues receipts on patient accounts as appropriate.  Oversee the operation of the Switch Board by answering all incoming calls, transfers, intercom and paging system.  Provides general support to patients, families, visitors, and other departments in accordance with Providence philosophy, objectives, policies, procedures and standards. Fosters change and teamwork to ensure constructive relationships and growth, while maintaining a positive and professional image when interacting with patients, their families, physicians, employees and general public.

This posting is for multiple openings of a Patient Services Specialist at Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center in Kodiak, AK. We are hiring for the following positions in the Patent Access Department:

 

Patient Services Specialist - Part - Time, 0.6 FTE, Variable Shift, 24 Hours Per Week 

Patient Services Specialist - Per Diem

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
