RN – Medical Surgical Unit at Providence Medford Medical Center.
This is a combined position that will be dedicated to two separate programs; the TeleNeuro Hospitalist program and the ADT program.
TeleNeuro Hospitalist Nurse Facilitator
- Designated TelePresenter nurse to assist the neurologist with non-emergent assessments for inpatient neurological follow-up appointments. These assessments may include: NIH Stroke Scale, cranial nerves, and reflexes.
- Communicates with the neurologist provider to determine appointment schedule for the day and informs direct care nurse about the appointment.
- Moves the TeleNeuro video cart from patient room to the next patient room.
Admit/Discharge/Transfer (ADT) Resource Nurse
- Facilitate patient progression by coordinating discharge planning and related tasks earlier in the patients’ stay.
- Collaborate with the patients’ interdisciplinary care team to address barriers to discharge and support the patient throughout the discharge process.
- Float throughout the house to complete discharge related tasks for patients projected to be discharged that day or the next day.
- Provide discharge education to patients and their families.
0.6 FTE = 48 hours/pay period:
- Week 1:
- Three 8 hours shifts (0730-1600)
- One 4 hour shift (0730-1130)
- Week 2:
- Two 8 hours shifts (0730-1600)
- One 4 hour shift (0730-1130)
- Weekends:
- Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)

Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Upon hire: Oregon Registered Nurse License
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- One year: Nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Upon hire: National Certification in area of specialty
