The Central Services Technician is responsible for all task-based Central Services activities. Central Services activities include, but are not limited to: decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation, assembly and delivery of surgical and interventional procedure case carts, paring and replenishment of materials, and receiving and distribution of Central Services supplies. The Central Services Technician must be able to decontaminate and assemble surgical instrumentation using an automated Instrument Tracking System. Uses an electronic handheld ordering device and works with the Materials Coordinator to par, order, and replenish soft supplies in the surgical core, and CS packs storage area. Assembles the surgical case cart from a predetermined preference list; the case cart includes surgical instrumentation; peel packs, soft supplies, packs, and implants.

Required Qualifications:
- Completion of formal Central Services Technician course or successfully challenged Course test.
- Upon hire: National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association) Or
- Upon hire: National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
- 3 years Related experience with surgical instrumentation in hospital Sterile Processing/ Central Services environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Materials management and/or supply chain experience.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
