Work under the direction of the Supervisor or Clinic Manager to provide basic patient care to assigned patients.
This is a clinical position that applies the knowledge, skills and experience in the provision of care via the telephone, the computer and EHR interface. This includes delivery of care in the form of triage, advice, referral, and patient education in the ambulatory care setting. The job requires an enhanced level of expertise in the assessment of patient needs, determination of level of care, and implementation of plan appropriate to the situation. This role is expected to work closely with physicians and all other members of the health system staff, requiring excellent communication, teaching, and negotiating skills with a high expectation of total confidentiality when working with sensitive information. Position may coordinate and manage clinical activities. This can include workflow in the area by distributing workload assignments, based on patient schedules and phone demands. This is intended to be a hybrid/remote position.
