Under direction of the Section Supervisor, the Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) employs professional knowledge and judgment to perform technical, physical, clerical and quality assurance functions in the department.

Required qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Basic Science or equivalent education/experience
- MLT (ASCP)
Preferred qualifications:
- Certification by the Board of Registry of the American Society for Clinical Pathology upon hire
- 6 months of work experience in a clinical laboratory, in a hospital setting
