Patient Services Specialist at Providence Newberg Medical Center (On-Call, Variable Schedule).
Responsible for the efficient and orderly registration of inpatients and outpatients in the Emergency Department. Ensures that accurate patient information is collected in a prompt and courteous manner.

Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: Knowledge of medical terminology obtained college coursework or equivalent educ/experience
- 1 year of experience in customer service or healthcare registration.
- Healthcare experience, in either a provider or payor site.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: Satisfactory completion of college level Medical Terminology or Medical Assistant course.
- National Certification of CHAA upon hire.
- Registrar and third party payor experience.
- Experience with State, Federal and other regulatory Compliance Regulations, including: Medicare Secondary Payor, EMTALA, and ABN.
