Job Summary:
The Retail Experience Ambassador is responsible for handling various sales activities in a retail store, including facilitating purchases and providing exceptional guest service. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and contribute to the planning, organization, and training, necessary to achieve the retail outlet’s objectives in sales, costs, colleague retention, communication and awareness, guest service and satisfaction, and compliance.
A little bit about your day:
Reporting to the Retail Manager, every day is different, but you’ll mostly:
- Promote Regent’s service philosophy and style through our people attributes.
- Adhere to Regent Santa Monica Beach's standards in job performance and retail policies.
- Provide outstanding hospitality to all guests, consistently delivering attentive, refined, and courteous service.
- Utilize a POS system to manage smooth transactions, returns, and exchanges efficiently.
- Assist in receiving and displaying new arrivals, while ensuring an organized inventory process.
- Continuously seek ways to enhance revenue and elevate the guest experience.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to maintain strong relationships with guests, colleagues, and business partners.
- Complete all assigned side tasks for your station each shift.
- Keep retail spaces clean and organized, aligning with the outlet's culture and standards of excellence.
- Identify areas for staff and retail improvement and propose constructive solutions.
- Conduct daily store operations efficiently, demonstrating respect, friendliness, professionalism, teamwork, knowledge, patience, awareness, compassion, courtesy, and initiative.
- Master all programs, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs.
- Foster rapport with customers through conversation and honest recommendations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in luxury sales.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in a foreign language is a plus.
- Strong reading and writing skills to aid in communication.
- Solid understanding of fashion and styling.
- Familiarity with skincare products is beneficial.
- Basic computer skills required.
What you can expect from us:
The hourly pay rate for this role is $30.00, plus commission. This rate is only applicable for jobs to be performed at Regent Santa Monica Beach. This is the lowest to highest pay scale we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. A colleague’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, or any other form of compensation that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
