Job Details
The role involves you working within the Roads & Lighting Contracts team within Roads & Transportation Services based in Bankhead Central, Glenrothes.
You will assist in the site supervision of a wide and varied nature of primarily road orientated projects. You will be expected to work collectively and individually on the delivery of these projects.
Although a high level of mental agility is evidently required, this work will also be physically demanding at times as it will require site work such as inspections and construction supervision. This may include working adjacent to live traffic, in inclement weather and lone working.
The Person
Educated to SCQF level 7, which includes an HNC or equivalent preferably in Civil Engineering.
You will have good communication skills and be able to transfer these in different circumstances e.g. dealing with members of the public. You should be a good team player as well as being able to work alone and unsupervised at times. IT skills are relevant to the role.
You will have a sound knowledge of methods and materials used within civil engineering and construction works.
You should be able to work as part of a team or on your own as required.
