If you are a qualified Social Worker and wish to have a career in supporting children, young people and their families in a statutory setting then a career in children’s social work service in Fife awaits you. We have a high level of support and supervision for NQSW and offer the opportunities for experienced staff to develop their careers. We support continued professional development with the opportunity to undertake post qualifying courses, as well as protected time for supervision, including group supervision, aimed towards developing practice. We seek to offer a creative training programme to support our workforce to be trauma informed.

The Person
You will be required to demonstrate knowledge and skills in working within a statutory childcare settling. You will have a sound understanding of child development, theories and legislation and policy and be confident in the use of these within assessments.
You must be able to work within a multi-disciplinary team and display excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
You must be able to demonstrate an ability to engage with families and display a clear understanding of their needs.
You will be required to travel efficiently and effectively throughout the course of the job.
You are required to register with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up employment in this role and to complete the required Post Registration Training and Learning (PRTL) over the first registration period.
Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
