Active Schools aims to provide more and higher quality opportunities to take part in sport and physical activity before school, during lunchtime and after school, and to develop effective pathways between schools and sports clubs in the local community.
Fife Council in partnership with Sport Scotland are delighted to be recruiting for an enthusiastic person to work as an Active Schools Coordinator within the Fife Active Schools team, Education Directorate. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the Beath Cluster, including Beath High School and the six cluster primary schools.

The Person
You will be educated to Degree level in a relevant discipline (and/or General Teaching Council (GTC) registered) and / or possess equivalent experience, working with children in an education, sport, health, leisure and / or recreation environment.
Experience in management of projects in education, sport, health, leisure and / or recreation is essential, demonstrating the ability to lead and develop programmes and projects from conception to implementation.
You will be able to identify good practice and promote the role of physical activity incorporating sport, play and wider health & wellbeing practise as a contributor to community development.
It is essential that you are able to show good organisation, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work both individually and part of a wider team.
Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland.
