Job Details
Would you like to work for an award winning Planning Service? If so the student placement post provides an opportunity for a full time student to gain practical work experience in their chosen field of study. The placement will normally take place immediately prior to the final year of under graduate study, although a placement earlier in the academic course would also be possible.
The post will allow you to work within different areas of the Planning Service so there is a great opportunity to expand your range of experience. Opportunities are available for postholders to be involved in areas like validation and processing of planning applications, policy development, and to gain experience of specialist areas such as archaeology, built heritage and climate change. Personal development is supported through our extensive CPD programme and our network of professional mentors.
The Person
Applicants must be actively engaged in a full time course of study, leading to a qualification at Degree level in town planning or a related discipline.
We are looking for enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals with a positive attitude to customer care; applicants must be able to demonstrate a level of competence and knowledge of planning and experience commensurate with the post/grade applied for.
