We’re focused on making a meaningful difference to communities across Suffolk. How? By listening to our people, learning from what they say and creating a culture of mutual respect. As a Support and Information Officer in the West Suffolk Health and Children’s Centre Team, you’ll be as keen to collaborate and build a bright future as we are.

Reimagine the possibilities.

Our lively Children's Centre is looking for someone who enjoys being the first point of contact for families.

You will keep the family hub running smoothly by:

  • covering reception duties
  • completing administrative tasks
  • providing a warm welcome and helpful information to parents, children, and our partners, guiding them to services that foster healthy development.

As part of our collaborative team, your goal will be supporting the needs of children from pregnancy to 5 years old, along with their families. You'll help us deliver our Healthy Child programme through the Children's Centre Statutory Framework, which makes a real difference in little ones' physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth during these vital early years.

We want every child to have the best start in life - if you share our child-centric passion and are excited to take on this rewarding role, we encourage you to apply!

You will need

  • a level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics or equivalent experience or evidence of skills
  • good levels of communication skills (written and verbal)
  • the ability to provide advice and information with clarity and impartiality to meet the needs of the recipient.

You can view a full list of requirements in the Job and Person Profile (docx). If you believe you can succeed in this role, apply. Even if you don't meet all requirements, still apply. We would appreciate the opportunity to consider your application.

Empowering Everyone

We’re big believers in potential, possibility and the power of different ideas. We’re always searching for ways to encourage, respect and enable everyone to be the best they can be. We want to represent the diverse communities we serve. We welcome applications from all individuals, especially those from groups that are currently underrepresented in the organisation, as shown in our Workforce Equality Report
