We have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher to join us in Key Stage Two at Wickham Market Primary School. Wickham Market is a small to medium-sized school (165 pupils, including nursery) based on a very large site with excellent facilities including a science lab and woodland. 

Our last OFSTED inspection (May 2023) confirmed we continue to be a ‘Good’ school, noting ‘adults are proud to work in school. Senior leaders take care to manage staff’s workload and support them to teach well’.

We are proud to be part of East Anglian Schools Trust (EAST) alongside Farlingaye High School, Kesgrave High School, Bungay High School, Castle East School, EAST SCITT and four other primary schools Aldeburgh, Easton, Leiston, Saxmundham.

As a professional interested in furthering your career development we offer quality CPD regularly and the support of colleagues within the school and also the wider Academy. We are a welcoming community of staff, pupils and parents who are supportive of one another. 

We are a Teaching School Hub partner, which allows us to improve teaching and learning on a continuous basis. We are committed to providing excellent staff opportunities through developing and promoting our staff and offering an excellent CPD and support programme for new staff. We are also extremely pleased to have launched our own teacher training provider: EAST SCITT. This allows us to award QTS and also QTS + PGCE Programmes within both Primary and Secondary schools.

We are looking for a Teacher who:

  • is passionate about teaching and learning and can motivate and inspire pupils and colleagues
  • is an excellent practitioner, with a good understanding of the essential characteristics of effective learning and teaching.
  • will deliver creative, inspiring and enriching learning opportunities
  • will set high expectations and standards for all children
  • will work in a team and form positive relationships with staff, pupils, and parents.
