Position Requirements:

• Must have an active Oklahoma State Journeyman License
• Must have own work tools
• Must have reliable transportation
• Meet all physical demands and pre-employment conditions, which may include being able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical
• Must commit to ZACHRY values and safety rules and regulations
• Must be able to direct and work with an apprentice, work alongside other journeymen, and take direction from supervision

• Troubleshooting and repair
• Able to read blueprints and schematics
• Able to work at elevated heights
• Able to climb ladders, both step and extension
• Able to work in cable trays and pull cable
• Able to bend conduit and install
• Understand the NEC
• Able to use and read millimeters and meggers and test equipment
• Connect power cable to equipment
• Observe functioning of the installed equipment
• Work with 24vac,120vac,208vac,240vac,480vac
• Able to distinguish wire colors
• Able to work in confined spaces
• May be required to wear respirator
• Organization and time management
• Have good problem-solving abilities
• Have good aptitude and manual dexterity
• Proficient reading comprehension
• Have experience with equipment maintenance
• Understand how to read and interpret technical manuals in order to determine work procedures
• Have experience using industrial hand tools and power tools

Valued but not required skills, knowledge, and abilities:

• Former ZACHRY employee
• Formal education/degree/certificate in construction, technical or trade school (such as NCCER Certification)

Physical demands and work environment: 

• Physical demands:  Employee will be required to adhere to substantial amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting. Will talk and hear to communicate. Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls, and tools. May be required to lift, carry, and move up to 50lbs. Will occasionally work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and work off of platforms. Will use vision abilities to focus, see short and long distances, colors, depth perception and peripheral vision. Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, FRC’s, safety vests, gloves, and steel-toe boots. 
• Work environment:  Will vary from indoor to outdoor, office to process plant, and ground to elevated heights.
