Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Floor Technician to join our team. The Floor Technician will be responsible for maintaining and improving the appearance of floors in various facilities. This role requires attention to detail, proficiency in floor cleaning techniques, and the ability to operate specialized equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine floor maintenance tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and buffing.
- Strip, seal, wax, and polish floors using appropriate chemicals and equipment.
- Inspect floors for damage or wear and report any issues to management.
- Move furniture and equipment as necessary to facilitate cleaning and maintenance activities.
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling cleaning chemicals and operating machinery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and storage areas.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient completion of tasks.
- Assist with special projects or cleaning tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Floor Technician or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques, equipment, and chemicals.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.
- Certification in floor care or related field is a plus.
