Shift : Monday thru Friday 10AM-6:30PM or Monday thru Friday 7AM-3:30PM

Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Two years of experience in Building Trades
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to work from a ladder and/or a lift
• Ability to respond to emergency service calls outside regularly scheduled work hours
• Ability to work various shifts as assigned
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• The ability to move and/or maneuver materials weighing as much as 50 pounds as well as other hazards associated with physical work to maintain and repair buildings and equipment
• Demonstrated expertise in skill sets associated with Building Trades
• Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
• Experience with a Building Automation System (BAS)
• Background Check Required

Responsibilities
• Position Summary: This position performs the duties of a Maintenance Technician
• Work assignments for this position may include any or all the following plus other duties as assigned
• Work with and assist engineers, contractors and consultants who evaluate safety controls and building systems operations for maintenance, expansion and/or repair by explaining company and district practices and/or providing information regarding company and district procedures
• Inspect buildings; plumbing, electrical and HVAC equipment and systems and report identified deficiencies
• Perform maintenance and repair work on buildings and mechanical systems as assigned from inspections or Computerized Maintenance Management System work orders
• Inspecting and testing air compressor, grease traps, sewer pumps and other systems and equipment
• Repairing and/or replacing ceiling tiles, floor tile, cove base, lamps, ballasts, doors, locks and other building materials
• Patching and painting interior walls and surfaces
• Clearing sewage blockages and drain lines
• Clean roof drains
• Troubleshooting systems and equipment
• Maintain and repair custodial equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and other electrical equipment
• Record completed repairs using Computerized Maintenance Management System or other company and/or district software
• Recommend work process improvements to Facilities supervisors and administrators
• Check space temperatures and equipment operation via building automation systems (BAS)
• Maintain a professional, safe, and clean work area
• Provide service support for campus events
• Snow removal duties as assigned
