Job Descrption
The ServiceNow Developer is responsible for advancing Information Technology Service Management, ITOM and ITBM as well as platform foundational functionality through out-of-the-box capabilities and advanced application development. Supports critical operational services and high-priority strategic projects. Serves as an essential resource for several Information Technology Service projects including the foundation re-build, customer/team member experience, CSDM/CMDB, Discovery, PPM and other areas of responsibility.
Job Responsibilities:
- Designs end to end solutions encompassing positive and consistent user experience, alignment with Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) and ServiceNow best practices/scalability.
- Contributes technical expertise across the platform’s applications to include, but not be limited to, ITSM, ITBM, ITOM, foundation and integrations.
- Ensures proper configuration/customization of the ServiceNow system including creating workflows. Develops and implements advanced workflows, business rules, script includes, client scripts, service portal widgets, flows and other scripting solutions (i.e. Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts and ACLs including advanced scripting of each – including CMS/Service Portals).
- Loads, manipulates and maintains data between ServiceNow and other systems by using APIs and file imports.
- Debugs, diagnoses and enhances service portal themes, UI scripts and widgets. Integrates data from multiple data sources where appropriate into a unified CMDB while ensuring data quality and integrity are maintained.
- Reviews and provides recommendations on internal security configurations, compliance and areas of improvement.
- Designs and implements integrations with external platforms by using LDAP integrations, IntegrationHub, MID Server data sources and custom RESTSOAP APIs.
- Enables visibility into service metrics and transparency through reporting dashboards design.
- Incorporates total quality into designs while leveraging automated test frameworks when/where needed and other available tools to spot defects in sub-production testing and alert on defects in production environments.
- Uses SCRUM/Agile development methodologies. Documents and follows established processes for both operational and agile/project development work.
Requirements:
- Education: High School or GED
- Experience: 3 years of experience with Management Information Systems
- Certification: ServiceNow's Certified Application Developer (CAD)
