The Main Tower Operating Room (OR) is proud to serve as a high acuity, fast paced, multispecialty operating room and as Northern Virginia’s only Level 1 Trauma facility with 29 Operating Rooms. Our diverse teammates and complex patient population makes working in Tower OR exciting, with endless opportunities for professional and personal growth.
The Clinical Mentor guides, trains and coaches team members through the promotion and delivery of high-quality nursing care. Orients, educates and develops nursing team members to ensure competence and ability to fulfill specified responsibilities. Provides support to novice and advanced nurses and preceptors to ensure a smooth transition into practice and the work environment. Meets the clinical and social adjustment needs of all team members by integrating knowledge, skills and experiences. Participates in the design, delivery and evaluation of educational programs to promote clinical development and career progression from novice to proficient nurse for new or existing clinicians.
This position is Monday-Friday, day shift; 40 hours a week.

Requirements:
- Experience - 3 years of progressive experience in clinical nursing in designated specialty; experience serving as a preceptor
- Education - Bachelors Degree in Nursing
- Certification - Basic Life Support
- Licensure - Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse
