What’s the role?We are recruiting for an Employment and Training Advisor to join the Lewisham Works employment support service. The successful Employment and Training Advisor will work with the Lewisham Works team and wider Jobs and Skills colleagues to provide information, advice and guidance to unemployed residents who are seeking help with their employability. The team is currently operating under UKSPF funding and Advisors will have a budget to help them support residents to enter the workforce.

What we’re looking forWe are looking for someone with knowledge of principles related to information, advice and guidance, as well as excellent customer service skills. They will have knowledge of how to tackle complex barriers and different barriers to employment faced by vulnerable residents. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate being able to work within a funded project, with good attention to detail skills.
LocationThe job is primarily based in our Catford Offices, but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis. We also do a lot of outreach as part of our team and occasionally work within our partner's worksite locations within the borough, such as our local job centres.
