What’s the role?...

We are looking to recruit a team leader who will inspire high performance in the Homelessness Prevention and Assessment Team. The Team Leader will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high quality, customer focused housing options service to households who have approached Lewisham as homeless and in need of housing. The successful candidate will be expected to work with their staff and colleagues across Housing Services to develop an efficient offer to increase preventions.

There are x3 Homelessness Prevention & Assessment Team Leader roles.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for performance driven team leader with experience in managing teams and who has detailed knowledge of the policies and legislation relating to homelessness prevention.  The successful candidate will have experience in overseeing and approving detailed and legally robust s184 decision letters and working within a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Location

Whilst the service is primarily based in Laurence House, we operate a hybrid approach whereby you may be required to work both in the office and from home as determined by service requirements.

Special conditions

  • This role requires out of hours working on a rota basis - there is an additional payment for this
  • The job is subject to a Basic DBS check

Salary 

£46,053 - £48,063 per annum (P03)

N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
