Geotechnical Investigations:

  • Conduct geological mapping, assessments, and inspections for various projects, including water, transportation, and building infrastructure.

  • Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge, contribute to GHD’s Global Knowledge Base, and develop technical and personal skills.

Client Liaison:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, ensuring high client satisfaction and project success.

Project Scope:

  • Manage small to medium projects as the Project Manager (PM).

Business Development:

  • Lead proposal development for routine, low-risk projects, maintain client relationships, and ensure client loyalty and repeat business through excellent service and project delivery.

Technical Duties:

  • Provide geological and hydrogeological support to Job Managers and the Geotechnical Business Group Leader.
  • Collaborate closely with other GHD staff in related service lines, including Structures, Road Systems, Water, Railways, Airports, Geotechnics, Ports and Harbours, Pavements, and Contaminated Land.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of hydrogeology, hydrogeological applications and groundwater modelling techniques (conceptual, analytical and numerical model development); and have strengths in computer-based analysis, management and manipulation of large data sets.
  • Proven leadership skills and a desire to train, guide and mentor less experienced employees.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of environmental management issues, principles and government policy (State and Federal), particularly related to mining, oil and gas (including CSG), groundwater resources management, impact assessment, and water resources sustainability.
  • Proven track record in managing investigation projects.
  • Strong emphasis on health, safety, and quality assurance.
  • Familiarity with industry-recognized investigation techniques.
  • Competent in generating clear and comprehensive reports.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Capable of fostering teamwork and collaboration within the group.
