Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Design and deliver all aspects of transmission overhead line projects associated with feasibility, concept, reference, detailed, construction, commissioning and post-construction phases.
- Prepare transmission line tenders and proposals including documentation aspects.
- Author technical reports per GHD and client guidelines.
- Assist team and overall business group with project work and reviews.
- Perform site inspections and prepare inspection reports for proposals, design delivery and construction.
- Project management and design management.
- Support training and mentoring of junior staff and other design engineers.
- Network with other GHD offices to promote Sydney’s transmission overhead line design capabilities and engaging on such projects where opportunities arise.
- Establish client relationships and client liaison.
- Other duties as instructed by Team Leader or Business Group Leader.
What you will bring to the team:
- Extensive experience in HV and EHV overhead line detailed design including all aspects of documentation (reports, drawings, etc.).
- Thorough understanding of infrastructure project development lifecycle.
- Advanced user of the PLS-CADD suite including POLE, TOWER, etc.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- CPEng or actively working towards obtainment.
- Minimum 10 years’ profession industry experience.
- Focus on client service.
- Proven experience in managing several projects at once and determining priorities
- Proven experience in the technical leadership of multi-discipline engineering projects.
- Proven ability to prepare and present tenders / proposals to potential clients.
- Understand and adhere to GHD’s values, Codes of Conduct, and Policies
- Proactive, analytical and problem-solving skills
