I. Job Summary

The Learning Engagement Consultant works in a corporate setting partnering with senior level clients to identify, assess and prioritize learning and performance gaps. Responsible for becoming familiar with National Account Sales key success factors and obstacles and providing strategic direction, coaching and planning to help organize and implement organizational effectiveness and training and development programs.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Other minor duties may be assigned.  

  • Becomes familiar with client’s business including but not limited to client’s products, services, key customers, competitive landscape, business performance, key success factors, issues, and obstacles.
  • Provides strategic direction, planning, coaching and overall management of the training and development function to an assigned organization within WM.
  • Plans, organizes, and implements organizational effectiveness and training and development programs that align with the overall company goals and business objectives.
  • Participates in strategic planning discussions and determines appropriate blended learning method for organizational effectiveness and training and development programs for current state and future state.
  • Responsible for development and communication of training and development value proposition. Builds and integrates client focused training delivery team to strategically plan and rollout plan evaluation and feedback systems for all training delivery methodologies within assigned company-wide organization.
  • Research, benchmarks, and proposes “best in class” training and development solutions designed to support the company’s strategic direction with a specific focus on assigned client organization (e.g., Sales, Customer Service).
  • Negotiates and agrees on service and delivery options, timing, resources, and measures.

IV. Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Industrial / Organizational Psychology or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited)

Experience:  At least 7 years previous experience including experience managing a deadlines and internal stakeholder expectations. (In addition to education requirement)

B.  Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

_Instructional design certificate preferred 

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

  • Building and managing systematic change programs
  • Planning and implementing programs to enhance productivity and quality of work
  • Knowledge and demonstrated understanding of adult learning styles and instructional design
  • Experience in assessing, delivering and measuring organizational effectiveness and training and development programs
  • Demonstrated experience in partnering with business/organizational leaders to translate business objectives into effective learning sessions and development programs
  • Strong consultant approach to client relationships
  • Experience developing learning materials utilizing Articulate, Camtasia, Adobe Suite, and Canva

Normal setting for this job is: office/hybrid setting.

The expected salary range for this position is $105,000 - $125,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location
