The Service Solution Architect role is a client-focused financial services industry professional role working closely with the sales teams’ supporting sales opportunities with service solutioning for business model transformational initiatives (Managed Services/Outsourcing). Enabled by the Service Catalogue from the Service product management organization, act as the Services subject matter expert on all service-related topics and to promote the consumption of the service portfolio.
This requires in-depth knowledge of the various service value propositions at DN from a technical perspective that are to be leveraged to deliver the required business transformation and value. Key to the role is to integrate the service value propositions into the operational environment of the clients in a pre-sale’s capacity. This includes requirement analysis, scope validation, solution documentation, cost development, RAID-log documentation and ultimately solution sign-off.
- Provides the full range of Pre-Sales Engineering services to an assigned high value sales opportunities with complex scope
- Responsible for the end-to-end solution design work from engagement to sign-off of the scoped service solution
- Highly skilled at analyzing client requirements, and working in collaboration with developers, architects and engineers to develop new solutions to complex business problems.
- Acts as a valuable resource to the sales team and customers in the capacity as a services subject matter expert
- Advises sales and customers on product integration and service transition, integration with other DN and competitor products, solutions, and services.
- Leverages persuasive sales methodologies to manage customer conversations and help drive deals to close.
- Handles scope challenges escalated from Pre-Sales Engineering, resolving on own or seeking advice / support from higher level team members.
- Provides services portfolio centric support, onsite or remote, for industry events.
- Supports Sales by providing solution design, implementation, and support for current and new customers.
- Contributes to the development of improved Pre-Sales Engineering practices, reporting and documentation.
- Collaborates and supports the service product portfolio managers in continuous improvement work and development of new services
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Technical Pre Sales.
- Experience of or certified in ITIL v3 or v4
- Strong understanding of leveraging IT and technology to generate positive business outcomes.
- Experience in working with cost models in relation to technical maintenance services.
- Understanding of Service Level Agreements & Key Performance Indexes
- Business Intelligence and Reporting
- Strong business acumen with excellent soft skills
- Works autonomously, is self-motivated and resourceful in sourcing required inputs.
- Strong stakeholder management
- Good document management skills documenting solutions and creating required document artifacts to support the opportunity process and sign-off
- Apply project management principles to deliver on commitments surrounding the services solution design for all assigned opportunities.
- People leadership, be able to coach and drive service-related discussions to secure required outcomes
- Service centric mindset and passionate about services
Preferred Qualifications:
- Payment industry experience (Understanding of card schemes and PCI DSS compliance)
- Experience from service delivery centric type roles
- ATM channel experience
- Financial P&L work
- Spanish language skills
- Maintains a working knowledge of the financial services industry and competitors.
- Experience in business architecture, business analysis, requirements gathering
- Strong collaboration skills with a multitude of technical areas and cross functional teams in a matrix organization
- Process, quality and tools centric work model experience
