Job Descrption
Job description:
This PCB Engineer will report to R&D Hardware Team to develop, and design embedded electrical systems for NDT (Non-Destructive Test) equipment. Must have the ability to design PCB schematics, write C/C++ firmware and FPGA firmware with Verilog / VHDL.
Essential Responsibilities:
Support electrical hardware development and implement solutions for NDT test equipment.
Hardware implementation – Component selection, Schematics design & PCB layout support, Simulation, Analysis, and testing
Firmware and FPGA coding implementation with C/C++, Verilog / VHDL on Xilinx, and Altera platform
Support prototype building, wring, testing & co-ordination with cross functional team.
Analyze and develop Test Plans and procedures for Qualification and Acceptance processes.
Troubleshoot defects in the design via hands on testing and through feedback.
Support field equipment installment, testing and qualification.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
Highly innovative, self-motivated, and able to conduct research under manager supervision.
Excellent team working ability, communication skills, and flexibility.
Problem solving tools and practical problem solving.
Basic computer skills: Microsoft office applications - Word, Power Point, Excel.
Knowledge of Digital/Analog circuit design, PCB schematic and layout with Altium / Eagle or other ECAD tools.
Knowledge or experience on FPGA design with Verilog/VHDL on Intel / Xilinx or other platforms.
Knowledge or experience of Firmware design with C/C++ on ARM or other microcontrollers.
Knowledge of SPI, I2C, TCP/IP and other serial communication protocols.
Knowledge or experience on board level circuit boards test, debugging and repairing.
Knowledge or experience using Hardware lab equipment such as digital scope, logic analyzer, and soldering skills.
