POSITION SUMMARY
The Financial Counselor is responsible for in-house collections at the facility. The Financial Counselor functions include, but are not limited to: Charity screening, taking Med-Fund applications, arranging definite payment arrangements, collecting copays/deductibles, and counseling patients on the various governmental programs available.

Minimum:
The Financial Counselor position requires least one-year collections experience in the medical field. This position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interpret and input data with a high degree of accuracy. The Financial Counselor position requires someone who is dependable and hard working.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate verbally and in writing. Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential. Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to prioritize in a fast paced environment. Fluent in written and spoken English. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
