Regions Hospital has a full-time opportunity for a Safety & Security Officer to join our team!
The Security Officer position is responsible for providing and maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors and staff of Regions Hospital.
Security Officers provide a variety of services ranging from:
- Routine patrols (public areas, stairwells, conference rooms, bathrooms, waiting rooms).
- Responds to emergent needs of the organization and its occupants (fire alarms, disaster alerts, urgent requests).
- Provides response to routine requests of all departments (safety escorts, unlocks and lock ups).
- Provides appropriate customer service to all staff, patients and visitors.
- Investigates incidents, responds to resolve matters that threaten the safety of staff, visitors and patients completes appropriate reports and documentation within the scheduled shift.
Work schedule: FTE 1.0 32 hrs./week, Night Shift
12 hours shifts, 8 hr. shifts
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
One year experience working in security, law enforcement, military or mental health.
Law enforcement certification/education may be substituted for experience.
Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
Post high school education in the field of law enforcement.
