Key Responsibilities
This role is based in London and covers all aspects of Transfer pricing, working closely with the UK
and US based tax teams, Finance professionals and business personnel around the world. The role
reports into the EMEA and APAC Head of Tax and Partnership. The role provides long term
development potential for someone eager to demonstrate their skills and experience in the fast paced financial services environment.
Transfer pricing support for the business:
Acts as a subject matter expert
Defines transfer price mechanisms for all intercompany transactions within the whole
Group and ensures the arm’s length standard and timely compliance are met
Prepares and keeps up to date an intercompany matrix for all transactions
Analysing business flows
Assisting in developing a supportable pricing methodology
Support the tax compliance process on Master and Local files
Supports and reviews all intercompany agreements
Partners with business leaders, finance, treasury, legal and other teams on various business and tax planning issues
Prepares and reviews any valuations/economic and financial analysis where necessary from a transfer pricing point of view
Pillar 2:
Keep on top of the ever‐changing environment globally
Manage the quarterly reporting needs to work with the tax and finance teams to predict the provisions to be booked each quarter
Work with the global tax team and local finance teams to implement solutions as required
Country by Country Reporting
This process is currently driven out of the US
Work closely with the US tax team to ensure that the CbCR reports meet the Pillar 2 tests such that the ETR safe harbour in Pillar 2 can be relied upon
UK and other formal documentation requirements
Build the required local documentation to meet any tax law requirements in each country
Identify gaps and analyse flows and document as required
Transfer pricing audit support
Work with the local finance teams to develop support / defence for local transfer pricing audits
Identify key risks before audits commence to develop required defence strategies
Tax Planning and M&A support
Transfer Pricing input on M&A deals, internal restructuring projects, modeling exercises and general advisory projects.
Evaluate and analyse tax law changes (e.g., OECD BEPS proposals).
Trasnfer Pricing Policy
Work with the Group head of Tax, EMEA and APAC Head of Tax and key Finance professionals to identify transfer pricing risks and help to develop strategies and solutions
TP policy would cover all areas such as intra‐group IP, services, revenue shares, crossborder front office transactions, funding and financing transactions.
Must keep abreast of TP developments and apply changes to the TP policy etc as required
Updates to the Global Master File is run out of the UK
Skills / Experience Required
- Interaction with the Tax team
- The person in this role is expected to seamlessly integrate into the wider Tax Team
- There will be interactions required in the following areas (tax compliance and planning)
VAT
International Tax
UK tax
US taxes (Federal and State)
Tax technology specialist
- The right candidate must be confident in their area of expertise, whilst also managing
relationships with other team members across the world
- Interaction with Business leaders and senior Finance Professionals
The person in this role needs to be confident in their skills and be able to communicate them clearly and with authority
Experience in Financial Services would be helpful although not essential
Excellent communicator with the required gravitas to influence key personnel throughout the business and build a strong network of contacts
- Relevant professional or other qualification
- Strong Excel skills
- Organised and self‐motivated to excel and improve processes and work to deadlines
- Ability to access an accounting system and mine for data would be a plus
