We have an outstanding position available for a Nursing Professional Development Practitioner, to join our collaborative team in our OR, Cath Lab, IR, Endo, Sterile Processing, PACU, ORU, Pre/Post and Cardiac Pre/Post departments at our Bloomington Hospital location. This role will be a full-time day shift role working Monday-Friday.
The Practitioner-Nursing Professional Development utilizes NPD practice judgment and expertise to improve and influence professional role competence and growth of learners in a variety of settings with a desired outcome to support the IU Health Way. Six primary responsibilities of this role include onboarding/orientation, competency management, education, role development, collaborative partnerships, and inquiry. This role often functions in these responsibilities at a unit or facility level partnering with leaders and other stakeholders to achieve strategic goals and initiatives.

- Bachelors Degree of Nursing (BSN) required.
- Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department/specialty according to patient care policies.
- Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Two years experience preferred.
- Must have the ability and willingness to travel as needed to meet the system educational needs.
- Must have the ability to display knowledge and utilization of principles of adult learning.
