Gallup is offering an exciting internship opportunity for those who enjoy working with young children. As a part-time early childhood teacher intern at Gallup’s Child Development Center, you will spend your afternoons teaching our associates’ young children in a fun learning environment. In our play-based classrooms, indoor water room, indoor gyms and outdoor playground, you will create engaging activities that cultivate a love for learning and social development for each child you encounter.
As an intern at Gallup, you will have the opportunity to:
Explore and develop your interest in early childhood education in a professional learning environment
Work with a team of experienced teachers to support program philosophy
Complete observations, plan activities and facilitate learning for young children
Interview and collaborate with world-class teachers about milestone development, classroom management, parent communication and developmentally appropriate practices
Fulfill practicum hours under the guidance of a cooperating teacher
Access professional learning books and curriculum materials
Learn about strengths spotting in young children and foster their development in areas where they uniquely shine

What you need:
Must be currently (or soon to be) enrolled or recently graduated from an early childhood education program, elementary education program, Child Development Associate (CDA) program or related associate or bachelor’s degree program
Must be able to commit to at least six months; the internship has the potential to extend beyond that time
Must be able to work with a flexible afternoon schedule between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m., Monday-Friday
Must be able to work between 15 and 35 hours per week during the summer (and between 10 and 25 hours per week during the school year)
Must have a passion for working with children ages 8 weeks to 5 years
Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
Eligibility to work in the United States required; this position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship

An estimated range of $15-$17/hour — pay is based on a variety of factors including an individual's education, experience and skills.
